PINCONNING - Jan. 27, 2010 - Cass City was the big winner Wednesday at Pinconning's wrestling quad, sweeping past the Spartans and Oscoda, while Pinny and the Owls both earned wins over Standish-Sterling.

The host Spartans defeated SSC 48-29 while falling 42-33 to Cass City. Pinny's winners in the SSC match were Josh Estrada (103 pounds), Arthur Espitia (112), Clay Szilagyi (119), Taylor Pomaville (125), Charlie Burch (140), Brian Hardy (152), Colton Lucynski (160) and Shane Dixon (171). Arthur Espitia, Szilagyi, Burch, Hardy and Lucynski all had pins.

Against Cass City, winners were Estrada, Burch, Tyler Espitia, Hardy, Lucynski and Mark Walworth (130). Burch, Espitia, Hardy and Lucynski all had pins.

Oscoda lost to Cass City 56-23 and beat SSC 48-21. The Owls' winners against Cass City were Dillon Hohl (103), Eric Frasher (145) David Frasher (152) and Jacob Wood (285), with Frasher and Wood earning pins.

Against the Panthers, Oscoda's winners were Hohl, Jake Rayes (112), Brian Perkins (119), Kieran Clarke (125), Jordan Corwin (135), Eric Frasher (145), David Frasher (152), Andrew Franks (160), Donavan Fouchey (171). Perkins, Clarke, Corwin, Eric Frasher and Franks each won by pin.

SSC's winners against Pinny were Matt Bingham (130), Bryan Jones (135), Jesse Bashor (189), Andrew Roe (215) and Bret Thayer (285). Bashor won his match by pin.

Against the Owls, the Panthers' winners were Jones, Jacob Bialobrzeski, Bashor and Roe, with Jones, Bashor and Roe picking up pins.
