HILLMAN - Feb. 1, 2010 - Hillman cashed in at the free throw line Monday to key a 55-45 girls basketball victory over Alcona.

Hillman, which led 31-23 at the half, kept Alcona at bay by hitting 14-of-19 at the line in the second half. Alcona's attempts to get back in the game were short-circuited by their own performance at the line, including 3-of-13 in the fourth quarter.

Maci Schook led Hillman (9-5) with 15 points, with Chelsea Stevens adding 14 and Alissa Clink scoring 11.

Phebie Mier scored 10 and Alexa Lecureux added nine for Alcona (5-8).
