JOHN GLENN - Jan. 29, 2010 - Tawas Area's boys basketball team used a big second quarter to break away from John Glenn on Friday on the way to a 48-30 NEMC victory.
D.J. Decker scored eight of his game-high 14 points in the second quarter as the Braves went on a 17-1 run to snap a 7-7 tie and go in at the break up 24-8.
Tawas didn't let up in the third quarter, leading 41-15 heading into the fourth. The Braves outscored Glenn 34-8 in the middle quarters.
Jesse Siwek added 11 points for the Braves (5-6, 3-3 NEMC) and Travis Simmons added nine.
Jaye Kudrow and Tyler Schlink each scored seven points for the Bobcats (3-9, 1-4). |
