ROSCOMMON - Jan. 26, 2010 - Pinconning couldn't slow down Roscommon's Grant Carey, but the Spartans did a good enough job on everyone else to hang a 52-46 defeat on the Bucks on Tuesday.

Carey finished with a game-high 28 points, even after starting the game with just one basket in the first quarter.

Pinny took a 28-21 lead at the half and had just enough to hang on despite missing five of nine free throw attempts in the fourth quarter.

Lucas Foco led the Spartans (9-2) with 23 points, including 16 in the second half, while Casey Pashak had 13 points and Dylan Marquiss had 10.
