OSCODA - Mar. 4, 2010 - Ogemaw Heights wrapped up its second-best regular season in school history on Thursday with a 72-35 victory at Oscoda to finish the campaign with an 18-2 record.

The Falcons put 13 players in the scoring column after building a 37-10 halftime lead.

Andrew Arbour led Ogemaw in scoring for the first time this season with 14 points, with Alex Jennings adding 10, Anthony Zettel chipping in with nine and Robby Kish and Dan McGrail scoring eight apiece.

"Our reserves got a lot of minutes," said Ogemaw coach Jon VanOosten, "Andrew and Danny had nice games and are starting to show their potential."

Ogemaw opens district tournament play Monday, Mar. 8, at home against Harrison, with the winner facing Tawas Area on Wednesday.

Matt Murray hit 9-of-10 free throws to lead the Owls in scoring, with Kyle McCausey adding eight points.

Oscoda (3-17) travels to Inland Lakes on March 10 for its district opener.
