PINCONNING - Mar. 10, 2010 - Pinconning made sure its upset victory over Bridgeport wasn't for nothing on Wednesday, knocking off Essexville Garber 54-47 in a Class B district semifinal contest to advance to a Friday showdown with Carrollton for the district title.

The Spartans trailed 16-14 after one quarter, but a 16-4 run leading up to halftime gave Pinny a 30-20 lead.

Lucas Foco had 19 points and 10 rebounds, with Casey Pashak adding 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Spartans (18-4).

Mike Schroeder led Garber (10-11) with 18 points.
