OGEMAW HEIGHTS - Mar, 8, 2010 - Ogemaw Heights never gave Harrison a whiff of an upset in Monday's Class B district tournament opener, blasting the Hornets with a 21-4 first quarter run on the way to a 74-45 victory.

The win sets up Wednesday's district semifinal contest with Tawas Area (10-10), which pushed the Falcons (19-2) to overtime in their last meeting.

There was no danger of overtime against Harrison, not as the Falcons continued to roll to a 46-16 halftime lead.

"We shot the ball well, which was nice to see," said Ogemaw coach Jon VanOosten.

The lopsided game also gave the Falcon reserves another game with some significant minutes, including recent JV call-up Sheldon Roberto.

"He got some quality minutes and played very well," VanOosten said.

Robby Kish scored all 10 of his points in the first quarter and Anthony Zettel scored eight of his 10 in the second quarter to lead the early Falcon surge. Andrew Arbour led Ogemaw in scoring for the second straight game with 12 points, all in the second half.

Jason Groch led Harrison (3-19) with 19 points.
