Ogemaw coach Jeremiah Peace: "Dalton Worthy pitched a great game (in Game 1) giving up just one earned run. Gaylord fought back to tie it with two outs in the 7th. We had our chances to score. Offensively and defensively we just let Dalton down.
"The loss seemed to get the kids angry and motivated because we won the second one 14-1 in 5. This game showed the kind of team we want to be and the kind of team we know we have. We had 14 hits and we executed very well. It's important for us to keep playing good ball right now. Some of the guys are starting to find their swings and our pitching has been good the past two weeks."
