Alcona coach Seth Coffing: "Both of the first two games were well played by both teams and had very few mistakes.  We had Tawas down 5-2 going into the sixth and gave up five runs. One mistake kind of kickstarted the whole inning. 

"The second game against Standish was close throughout and we had some chances to pull ahead but didn’t come up with the big hit. 

"The consolation game against Tawas was a tough one to swallow.  Our kids were very flat being the third game of the day after losing two games that could have went either way. 

"Individually for the day, Bryan Layton and Cody Martin had excellent performances at the plate and Oliver and Dellar both threw nice ball games."
