WHITTEMORE-PRESCOTT - May 6, 2009 - Ogemaw Heights wrapped up an unbeaten league dual meet season Wednesday with a sweep of Whittemore-Prescott and John Glenn, defeating the Cards 116-16 and the Bobcats 96-34. Glenn topped W-P 62-49 as the three teams ran all events together but were scored in three separate duals.

Ogemaw (5-0) will start the NEMC finals meet with five points, giving them a slight advantage over the other league teams, who also received one point per dual meet win.

The Falcons won all but five events. Winners were Kayla Brindley in the discus (108-9) and shot put (38-8); Kristeen Soper in the high jump (4-10) and 400 (1:08.15); Kalena Franklin in the long jump (15-8), 100 hurdles (17.15) and 100 (13.49); Ashley Hebert in the pole vault (7-0); Kristian Franklin in the 200 (29.13); Adrien Steinhurst in the 3200 (14:34.20); and the 4x100 (58.25) and 4x400 (4:48.81) relays.

The Cards' wins came in the 800 as Staci Ostrander won in 2:42.44, and the 4x200 relay (2:04.77).

John Glenn's Janelle Schmidt won the 1600 (5:59.19) while Bri Kokaly won the 300 hurdles (51.08). The Bobcats' 4x800 relay team was also a winner (11:21.36).
