WHITTEMORE-PRESCOTT - Mar. 30, 2009 - Whittemore-Prescott hosted Hale and Oscoda for a season-opening tri-meet on Monday, and the Cardinal boys dominated the meet by winning 12 events. W-P ran up 103 team points to Hale's 49 and Oscoda's 22.
Highlighting the day was Billy Raushi's high jump of 6-6.5, setting a new school record.
“A nice start to the season," said W-P coach Jeff Erickson. "The boys gave a good effort, especially considering the weather conditions. A lot of kids scored so that is encouraging going forward.”
