STANDISH-STERLING - Apr. 22, 2009 - Ogemaw Heights' girls track team continued to perform like a more seasoned squad than it actually is Wednesday, topping Standish-Sterling in an NEMC dual 78-55.

John Glenn and Pinconning were also present at the meet, with all four squads competing together but being scored separately in their own respective duals.

Kalena Franklin set an impressive pace to lead the Falcons, winning the long jump (15-5), 100 hurdles (16.95), 400 dash (1:01.80) and 200 (28.92).

Also winning events for the Falcons were Kristeen Soper in the high jump (4-7); Ashley Hebert in the pole vault (5-6); Kayla Brindley in the shot put (36-5); Kristian Franklin in the 100 (13.77); Shiloh St. Andrew in the 1600 (6:34.47); the 4x100 relay (55.79); Rylee Nowak in the 800 (3:03.34);

Standish-Sterling's winners included the 4x800 relay (12:04.68); Ashlyn Gulvas in the discus (124-4); the 4x200 (1:55.78); Jennifer Lentz in the 300 hurdles (52.66); Sara Stanley in the 3200 (14:31.22); and the 4x400 relay (4:25.62).
