POSEN - Apr. 17, 2009 - AuGres-Sims didn't win a single event at Friday's Posen K of C Co-ed Relay meet.

But by placing in every event, the Wolverines piled up enough points to finish tied with the host Vikings for the meet championship.

The Wolverines and Vikings finished at the top of a tightly-packed field with 60 points, edging out Mio AuSable (57). Fairview and Oscoda tied for fourth with 52 points, followed by Hale (46), Rogers City (44), Hillman (31) and Atlanta (0).

Every event featured a four-person relay of two boys and two girls. Field events added together the totals from each individual's performance.

The Wolverines took third in the 800-400-400-800, sixth in the 4x100, second in the 4x400, fourth in the 400-200-200-400, fifth in the discus, fourth in the 4x1600 , fifth in the shot put, second in the long jump, third in the 4x800, second in the shuttle hurdles, fifth in the high jump, second in the 4x200 and also placed in the 200-100-100-200.

Hale won the 4x100, the 400-200-200-400, the 200-100-100-200, the shuttle hurdles and the 4x200 but had five events in which they didn't place (only the top six were scored).

Posen won the 4x400, the shot put and the long jump.

Mio won the discus, Fairview won the 4x800, Oscoda won the high jump, Rogers City won the 4x1600 and Fairview won the 800-400-400-800.
