May 15, 2009 - Ogemaw Heights came back from a rough first game on Friday at Gladwin, defeating the Flying G's 8-6 in the second game after dropping the opener 10-5.
In the first game, five Falcon pitchers handed out 11 walks as Gladwin needed just five hits to score its 10 runs.
Dalton Worthy started and took the loss. Andrew Funsch had two hits, including a double; Jarritt Orlando had two hits, including a triple; and Glenn Watchorn had a two-run single to lead the Falcons at the plate.
In the second game, Kyle Scott picked up the win in relief of John Hughes, striking out five without allowing a hit over the final three innings.
The Falcons came back from an early 5-3 deficit while pounding out 13 hits, including six of the extra-base variety. Nick Thorson had two hits, a triple and two RBIs; Jacob Stevens added two hits and three RBIs; Andrew Funsch and Chris Bones each had a single and double; and Jennings had a double and a triple.
The Falcons (10-13) turned right around to head to Cadillac for a Saturday tournament.
