WHITTEMORE-PRESCOTT - Oct. 26, 2009 - Whittemore-Prescott earned a non-conference volleyball win in the Cards' final home game of the season Monday, topping Oscoda 22-25, 25-16, 25-14, 25-18.

"It was a sweet way to end our home schedule," said W-P coach Helen Loomis. "Despite the slow start in Game 1, which was mainly from serving errors, we managed to come back ... and play more consistent. And our net game was much stronger tonight."

The Cardinals (16-10-1) wrap up the regular season with their final NEMC match Wednesday at Ogemaw Heights, while Oscoda (11-10-3) doesn't play again until its district tournament opener at Rogers City on Monday, Nov. 2.
