OSCODA - Sep. 21, 2009 - Oscoda's volleyball team gave NEMC-leading Tawas Area all it could handle Monday, winning the first two games 25-12, 25-21 before the Braves came back to sweep the final three games 25-8, 25-20, 15-10.

"The girls really came out strong and tried to fight back in every game," said Oscoda coach Laura Franklin. "I think the mometum was lost when we lost the third game.

"We worked really hard the last two games. Both games Tawas was ahead by eight points and we caught up, but just couldn't hold on."

Tawas improved to 7-11 overall, while Oscoda dropped to 6-4-2.
