LINCOLN - Oct. 12, 2009 - Standish-Sterling started strong, then held on in the third game to defeat Alcona 25-8, 25-8, 25-18 on Momday.

"We played extremely well in the first two games," said SSC coach Kierstin Sanch. "(We) slipped a bit in the third game but pulled out the win."

The Panthers improved to 12-14-2 with the win.
