HOUGHTON LAKE - Aug. 26, 2009 - Oscoda improved to 2-0 on the young volleyball season Wednesday with a 25-20, 22-25, 25-19, 25-20 victory at Houghton Lake.

"We are starting to learn how to play together a little more," said Oscoda coach Laura Franklin. "We were down by a lot in the third game and worked well together to come back."

Lelia Cotton had 11 kills, Stephanie Campbell had eight aces, Megan Zarachowicz added five blocks and Ashley Scott had 1 assists to lead the Owls. Franklin added that Morgan Steward and Mary Wood each had strong defensive games.
