OGEMAW HEIGHTS - Sep. 30, 2009 - Ogemaw Heights struggled with its serve receive game Wednesday, and John Glenn took advantage of it to claim a 25-20, 25-22, 18-25, 25-18 NEMC volleyball victory over the Falcons.

The Bobcat victory gives Tawas a two-game lead atop the North East Michigan Conference ahead of Glenn and Ogemaw.

"Our communication and hustle (were) greatly improved," said Ogemaw coach Diane Gillette. "But our serve receive fell apart and that hurt us. John Glenn has a few good hitters and we could not get a solid block on them.

"Our heads are up and we still have a chance to be on top in (the) conference."

Angela Carollo and Sara Meier each had nine kills, Paige Bachelder had 17 digs, Jorie Lucas had six aces and Andrea Gillette had 15 assists to lead the Falcons (7-12-5, 4-2 NEMC).

Bri Sahr had 21 kills and Holly Duncan added 10 for Glenn (3-2 NEMC).
