NORTHWOOD UNIVERSITY - Sep. 26, 2009 - Ogemaw Heights split just one of three matches at the Northwood Invitational on Saturday, but Falcon coach Diane Gillette said her squad played well for most of the day.
The Falcons lost to Reese 19-25, 20-25; lost to Flint Kearsley 21-25, 23-25, and split with Carrollton 25-17, 26-27.
"All the games were close," Gillette said. "We just could not finish ahead.
"The girls are doing a great job at the service line and their communication is better. We are continuing to improve."
Leading the Falcons (7-11-5) were Jorie Lucas with eight aces and eight kills; Shelby Marshall with 10 assists; and Paige Bachelder with 26 digs.
