SWAN VALLEY - Sep. 19, 2009 - Ogemaw Heights won one match and split two at Saturday's Swan Valley Invitational.
The Falcons lost to New Lothrop twice, split with St. Charles and Merrill and defeated Merrill to finish fourth in the tournament.
"We had some very good moments and some very shaky ones," said Ogemaw coach Diane Gillette. "At times we were very strong and everything seemed to click. We did, however, struggle at the service line, only serving 84 percent for the weekend.
"Our enthusiasm and communication (were) very strong in the elimination bracket."
Leading the Falcons were Jorie Lucas with seven aces, 16 kills and 22 digs; Paige Bachelder with five aces and 22 digs; Alissa Thornton with 8 kills; Andrea Gillette with 22 assists; and Shelby Marshall with 29 digs. |
