JOHN GLENN - Aug. 26, 2009 - Ogemaw Heights scored a huge NEMC-opening victory Wednesday, coming from behind to defeat John Glenn 25-20, 19-25, 18-25, 25-20, 15-10.

The victory gives the Falcons an early advantage over a Glenn team that edged the Falcons for last year's league title.

"We came together and worked as a team," said Ogemaw coach Diane Gillette. "Our passing was better (than in Monday's loss to Gaylord) and we never gave up when we fell behind.

"The girls did a fantastic job."

Ogemaw (2-4-2, 1-0 NEMC) turns right around and heads north to Alpena on Thursday for a non-league match. Glenn fell to 3-2 (0-1).
