HALE - Oct. 13, 2009 - Hale's shorthanded volleyball team earned a three-game sweep of AuGres-Sims on Tuesday, 25-22, 25-21, 25-21.

With many of the Eagles sick -- either missing the match at home or playing while ill -- Hale coach Heather Chrivia was proud of how her team pulled together.

"It was definitely a joint effort by all eight players," she said of Laura Sidebottom, Kelsey Reilly, Stacey Eno, Shelby Rhein, Halley Wolkens, Chelsea Wilson and Lauren Moritz. "Seven of the eight that were there probably should have been home as well."

Hale improved to 7-10-2 (5-4 NSL) while AuGres-Sims fell to 0-14-2 (0-9).
