HALE - Sep. 24, 2009 - Hale's volleyball team picked up its second North Star League victory of the season Thursday, vanquishing Arenac Eastern 25-8, 25-14, 25-19.

"The girls played really well together," said Hale coach Heather Chrivia. "They communicated really well.

"It was a great team effort too pull out the win."

"It was a tough night for us," said AE coach Hannah Neil. "Our defense was having trouble returning serves. We just could not get a break."

Leading Hale (3-7-1, 2-3 NSL) were Kelsey Reilly with nine aces and five kills; Laura Sidebottom with five kills; Stacey Eno with 14 assists; and Lindsay Weaver with seven digs.

Erin Ecker had 6 tips and 24 assists and Tiffany Miracle had three aces for AE (2-5, 2-3)
