POSEN - Sep. 10, 2009 - Defending North Star League champion Posen took down the young Arenac Eastern Eagles on Thursday in a conference volleyball match on the Vikings' home floor, 25-12, 25-20, 25-19.

"They are a hard team to beat," said AE coach Hannah Neil. "(But) with the new set up for defense the girls are more confident on receiving the serves."

Neil said she is seeing improvement with each match.

"Volleys are getting longer and the serves are more (consistent)," she said.

AE (0-4, 0-2 NSL) plays at Standish-Sterling against the Panthers' JV on Monday.
