STANDISH-STERLING - Nov. 4, 2009 - Tawas Area earned a sweep of its three meetings with Ogemaw Heights this season, ending the Falcons' year with a 25-15, 25-20, 25-23 district semifinal victory.
"We were flat and struggled to get the offense rolling," said Ogemaw coach Diane Gillette. "It is definitely not how we wanted the season to end."
Molly Stoll had 11 kills, Sarah Koroly had 16 assists and Katie Challenger had six aces to lead the Braves (16-15-4), who face Gladwin on Thursday for the district title.
Angela Carollo had five kills and seven digs; Alissa Thorson had four kills; Andrea Gillette had nine assists, three aces and nine digs; Paige Bachelder had nine digs; Shelby Marshall had nine digs; and Jorie Lucas had four aces for the Falcons (14-16-7). |
