ARENAC EASTERN - Oct. 2, 2009 - Arenac Eastern celebrated its homecoming Friday with a 32-22 victory over Atlanta, improving to 3-3 on the season and keeping its playoff hopes alive.
Brandon Gould's 71-yard interception return in the fourth quarter helped the Eagles put the game away.
Caleb Whitney led the Eagles with 161 yards rushing on 18 carries, including a touchdown run of 71 yards. He also caught 3 passes for 39 yards and one touchdown.
Graham Morgan rushed for 141 yards on 25 carries and touchdown runs of 4 and 5 yards and was 5-of-8 for 39 yards passing and one score.
Morgan's second touchdown of the game, which came in the third quarter, gave AE a the lead for good after the Eagles trailed 16-14 at the half.
Buford Jones had 11 tackles and one sack, Kyle Zobel added nine tackles and forced a fumble, Al Bilacic had nine tackles and Gould added six tackles. |
