JOHN GLENN - Apr. 16, 2008 - Ogemaw Heights' girls earned a pair of NEMC girls track victrories Wednesday, scoring 87 points to defeat John Glenn (55) and Oscoda (33).

The Falcons' event winners were Brittney Stein in the pole vault (8-6); Kalena Franklin in the long jump (14-6); Kayla Brindley in the discus (118-5) and shot put (34-3); Kristian Franklin in the 100 (14.70); Heather Villarreal in the 1600 (6:40.3); Brianne Price in the 400 (1:10.70); Mikaela Nelson in the 3200 (14:20.4); Maggie Edward, Kristeen Soper, Selina Tabayoyong, and Kalena Franklin in the 4x200 relay (1:59.20) and Brianne Price, Heather Villarreal, Brittany Stein, Kristeen Soper in the 4x400 relay (4:50.0).

"We continue to show some improvements as a team and a willingness to push ourselves to levels we have not raced at yet," said Ogemaw coach Rick Frank. "We still have long way to go but luckily it is still mid-April."

Glenn's winners were Bri Kokaly in the 100 hurdles; Jill Bauer in the 800 (2:42.40); Stephanie Hurley in the 200 (27.90); and Samantha Sweet, Chelsea Rowley, Jill Bauer, Melissa Skrocki in the 4x800 relay.

Oscoda's winners were Ashley Schonfeld in the high jump (4-8) and 300 hurdles (51.10); and the 4x100 relay team of Becca Businski, Mari Businski,Ashley Schonfeld, Blake Sponaugle (57.10).
