AKRON-FAIRGROVE - May 9, 2008 - AuGres-Sims' girls, running against unfamiliar competition, finished fourth out of eight schools in the small-school division of the Akron-Fairgrove Invitational on Friday.

Kingston won the meet with 121 points, beating second-place Port Hope (91). The Wolverines finished with 57 to edge the host Vikings (56) and Carsonville-Port Sanilac (53).

The Wolverines' Kadie Kachmaryk took first place in the pole vault (7-0), while Kelsey Heinrich was victorious in the 3200 (14:13.32).
