LINCOLN - May 10, 2008 - Standish-Sterling went 1-1 on Saturday at the Alcona tournament, falling 3-2 to Traverse City St. Francis and defeating Atlanta 6-0.

Samantha McQuarter and Terra Hartley scored SSC's runs in the opener as Emily Meschke took the loss in the pitching circle.

In the second game, Barbara Filipeck pitched a shutout against the Huskies and had a double at the plate. Lindsay Nelson had a double, while Cassie Roehm, Olivia Picard, Alyssa Bonnau and McQuarter all had hits for the Panthers (15-9).
