ALPENA - May 22, 2008 - Ogemaw Heights dropped a non-conference doubleheader at Alpena on Thursday, 9-1 and 5-4.
The Falcons managed seven hits in the first game, including a double and a triple by Michael Noffsinger, but scored only on an RBI single by Rick Dodridge in the seventh.
Josh Gildner took the loss, allowing four earned runs on six hits in four innings. Eric Noble also pitched two innings of relief.
In the second game, an untimely error in the seventh inning gave Alpena the winning run.
Blaine Powley pitched the first 2-1/3 innings and got a no-decision, allowing two earned runs on seven hits while striking out three.
Noffsinger, who took the loss in relief, had three hits, and Kelvin Page had two as the Falcons dropped to 23-10.
