OGEMAW HEIGHTS - May 15, 2008 - Ogemaw Heights picked up a non-league sweep of Kalkaska on Thursday, defeating the Blazers 6-1 and 10-2.

Kelvin Page and Eric Noble combined to hold the Blazers to five hits in the opener. Page started and picked up the win, with Noble earning the save in long relief.

Aaron Kihn had three hits, including two doubles, and drove in two runs, while Page had two hits.

In the second game, Josh Gildner allowed two unearned runs in four innings to pick up the win, and Alex Jennings finished up with three innings of no-hit relief.

"We only have a few weeks left, which means while we need to get ready for districts, we have to get some kids some experience for next year too, especially our pitchers," said Falcon coach Jeremiah Peace." Noble and Gildner both threw very well and both will need to be able to take big steps forward next year."

Anthony Betancourt, Nick Thorson and Kelvin Page each had two hits, with Page, Betancourt and Tyson Dantzer each driving in two runs. Aaron Kihn also hit a home run.

"It's also been good to see Orlando and Jennings continue to take good swings and hit the ball hard consistently," Peace said. "And Kihn is crushing the ball."

The Falcons improved to 21-8.
