JOHN GLENN - Oct. 15, 2008 - Whittemore-Prescott's volleyball team ran into a buzzsaw at NEMC-leading John Glenn on Wednesday, falling to the Bobcats 25-12, 25-10, 25-14.
"John Glenn did everything well and we were very intimidated," said W-P coach Helen Loomis. "We missed more serves than usual and we couldn't adjust our defense to their deceptive setter.
"We had some great moments of play, but not near enough to be competitive."
The Cards (10-13-1, 1-7 NEMC) travel to the Rogers City Invitational on Saturday.
"We're hoping to regain our confidence and play better at Rogers City," Loomis said.
John Glenn improved to 7-1 in NEMC play.
W-P Stats: Leighanna Loomis 3 points, 1 ace, 1 block, 3 spike kills, 7 digs; Larrissa McGeathy 3 points, 1 block, 3 spike kills; Chelsea Jasman 2 points; Kayla Kamp 8 assists, 6 digs; Cortney Bork 4 digs.
