WHITTEMORE-PRESCOTT - Sep. 10, 2008 - John Glenn rolled into Whittemore and Wednesday and demonstrated why it should be a contender for the NEMC league title this year by taking a 25-15, 25-15, 25-13 victory from the Cardinals.

W-P coach Helen Loomis said she was impressed with the Bobcats' talent level, as well as the experience of the Glenn club.

"We did have some great moments of play, especially in the first game," Loomis said. "Glenn has a lot of talent (but) it's hard to compete against a school of this size and location where club and AAU volleyball is an easy opportunity for their players.

"We just don't have the depth of skilled players they do, but we'll continue to stay positive."

The Cards (2-5, 0-3 NEMC) next play Sept. 17 at Ogemaw Heights.
