WHITTEMORE-PRESCOTT - Sep. 8, 2008 - Whittemore-Prescott's volleyball team was hitting on all cylinders Monday as the Cards rolled to a 25-14, 25-17, 25-20 victory over Alcona.

"We were overdue for this," said W-P coach Helen Loomis. "All team members contributed in a positive way. We served more aggressively and consistently and Larrissa McGeathy's net play was more controlled.

"We need to feed off this and continue to improve."

The Cards (2-4) return to league play on Wednesday as they host John Glenn.
