Oct. 20, 2008 - Ogemaw Heights won a rare Monday non-league contest with Lake City in sweeping fashion, 25-23, 25-16, 25-23.

"The girls played well despite (it being) a Monday game," said Falcon coach Diane Gillette. "We seem to always be a little rusty on Mondays.

"Our communication is improving, as well as our passers. Our attackers are reading the blockers and doing a fantastic job of finding the open areas."

Jorie Lucas had four kills, 12 digs and three aces, Paige Bachelder added five kills, Lauren Gillette had eight kills and 15 assists, Angela Carollo had eight kills and Emily Sheltrown added nine digs.
