OGEMAW HEIGHTS - Oct. 15, 2008 - Ogemaw Heights returned to the win column in NEMC volleyball play Wednesday with a three-game sweep of Tawas Area, 25-20, 25-11, 25-19.
"Our passing improved (over the previous week's loss to Pinconning) and we were able to attack the ball and keep them off balance," said Ogemaw coach Diane Gillette. "The girls played aggressively and communicated with each other."
Jorie Lucas had 24 digs, Angela Carollo had seven kills and Lauren Gillette had seven kills, 14 digs and four aces to lead the Falcons (23-6-4, 6-2 NEMC).
Tawas fell to 13-17 (2-6).
The Falcons play Lake City on Monday and travel to Whittemore-Prescott on Wednesday, Oct. 22. Tawas hosts Pinconning on Wednesday.
