Sep. 10, 2008 - Ogemaw Heights' volleyball team bumped itself above .500 in North East Michigan Conference play Wednesday with a 25-20, 25-10, 25-20 sweep of Tawas Area.
Ogemaw coach Diane Gillette said that her team's improvement in the early season has been encouraging.
"The attackers did a fine job at the net attacking and blocking the ball," she said. "I was very pleased with the performance of the whole team. They played together, communicated and worked hard. Tori Rabidue had an excellent night at the service line in the second game."
The Falcons (7-3-3, 2-1 NEMC) are at the Northwood Invitational on Saturday, then host Oscoda on Monday, Sept. 15.
Tawas dropped to 1-2 in league play and travels to Birch Run on Saturday.
