HALE - Oct. 23, 2008 - Hale solidified its hold on second place in the North Star League on Thursday with a three-game sweep of visiting Arenac Eastern, 25-8, 25-10, 25-13.

"The girls played really well," said Hale coach Heather Chrivia. "They were positive and upbeat all night."

Leading Hale were Tarra Caverly with eight kills and nine digs, Liz Lerczak with seven aces, Laura Sidebottom with 16 assists.

Hale improved to 17-7-3 (10-2 North Star League) while AE fell to 2-15-1 (2-9).
