HALE - Sep. 18, 2008 - Hale's volleyball team finally had a chance to field its full lineup in a North Star League contest, and the Eagles took advantage of their return to health by sweeping Mio AuSable on Thursday, 25-17, 25-14, 25-22.

"Everyone worked together and kept their spirits high throughout all three games," said Hale coach Heather Chrivia. "We really showed great team spirit and had some great serving."

The Eagles were paced by Tarra Caverly with 10 kills, Liz Lerczak with 11 aces, laura Sidebottom twith 20 assists and Kelsey Reilly with 10 digs.

Chrivia said that freshman Halley Wolkens' serving was a key to the Eagles' ability to come from behind in the third game and earn the sweep.

With the win, Hale improved to 4-3 (3-1 North Star League). Hale plays at Arenac Eastern on Thursday, Sept. 25.
