AuGRES-SIMS - Oct. 28, 2008 - AuGres-Sims played one of its better volleyball matches of the season Tuesday, but league-leading Posen proved to be too much for the Wolverines, pulling away to a 25-15, 25-20, 25-15 sweep.
The victory clinches at least a tie for the North Star League title for the Vikings, who lead Hale by one game with a home contest against Fairview yet to play.
In all three games, the Wolverines stayed close for awhile before the Vikings pulled away with strong finishing runs.
AGS led 7-4 in the third game, getting off to a strong start behind ---- #15's serving and a pair of kills by Brandi Willett, but Nicole Purol and Tina Mulka took control of the front line to help the Vikings pull away.
Posen improved to 16-1 (12-1 NSL) while AGS is 1-19 (1-12).
