OSCODA - Oct. 6, 2008 - Oscoda swimmers continued their winning ways easily downing Arthur Hill high school on a rare Monday meet by a score of 129-54.
Kim Kaiser qualified for diving regionals with her 5th victory of the season and Toni Boedecker and Kira Tait took 3rd and 4th in diving as well.
"It's nice to have Kim Kaiser qualified for dive regionals already. It takes a little pressure off of her and will let her focus on getting ready for conference without distractions." said coach Jeff Rush. "We were a little short handed tonight, but the girls swam some off events and still performed well."
The medley relay teams of Crowder, Businski, Lynch and Peters, and Delcourt, Ridpath, Raymond and Boedecker got the night off on the right foot finishing 1-2. Katie Killingbeck, Jessica Ball, and Stephanie Mandaville combined for a 2-4-5 finish in the 200 free, and Brynne Raymond, Brittany Lynch and Christina Delcourt swepth the 200 IM with a 1-2-3 finish. Mari Businski and Megan Crowder finished 1-2 in the 50 free.
Alyssa Peters, Brynne Raymond and Mari Businski swam to a 1-2-3 finish in the fly while Jessica Migan, and Christina Delcourt took 1-2 in the 100 free.
Jessica Ball, Stephanie Mandaville and Kristen Mioduch took 3-4-5 in the 500 free. Peters, Crowder, Raymond, and Migan, and Businski, Ball, Boedecker, and Kaiser swam to a 1-2 finish in the 200 free relay. Megan Crowder, Brittany Lynch and Taylor Caslow finished 1-3-4 in the back while Alyssa Peters, Taylor Caslow, and Barbie Ridpath swam to a 1-2-3 finish in the breast. Lynch, Delcourt, Ball, and Boedecker, and Killingbeck, Migan, Ridpath and Caslow finished 1-3 in the 400 free relay.
The Owl swimmers are back in action Saturday at the Hawk Relays and will close out their home dual meet season next Tuesday vs. Alpena.
