WHITTEMORE-PRESCOTT - Feb. 14, 2007 - Whittemore-Prescott wrapped up the regular-season portion of its NEMC schedule Wednesday with a 25-14, 25-17, 28-26 victory over Tawas Area.
"The girls played much better tonight," said W-P coach Helen Loomis. "More consistent and well-balanced on the court. Catherine Daniels had one of her best net games, both blocking and spiking.
"We fell apart a little in Game 3 but managed to stay composed and take the win."
Leading W-P (24-9-4, 5-1 NEMC) were Daniels with 15 kills and four blocks; Heather Popielarz with 14 service points, 13 digs and five five kills; Erica Loomis with nine points, one ace, 14 digs, two blocks and 12 kills; Miranda Oakley with nine points, one ace and 10 digs; Katie Borushko with eight points and nine digs; and Katie Eymer with one block.
The Cards host Hale and Lincoln-Alcona on Monday, Feb. 19.
