TAWAS AREA - Jan. 31, 2007 - Tawas Area picked up its first North East Michigan Conference volleyball victory of the season Wednesday with a 25-16, 20-25, 25-12, 25-22 victory over Oscoda.

Statistical leaders for the Owls (0-4 NEMC) were Margaret Negro with 11 kills and six blocks; Heather Patterson with nine kills, three blocks and seven digs; Chelsie Sisk with three blocks and 10 points; Emily Schwedler with 13 points and 17 assists; Aubrey Thurston with 12 points, six digs and two aces; and Jeri Carl with one tip.

Tawas improved to 1-3 in NEMC matches.
