NORTHWOOD UNIVERSITY - Feb. 17, 2007 - Ogemaw Heights' volleyball team finished up a busy week Saturday at the Northwood Invitational, losing two matches and splitting two.
"We did not communicate on the floor and struggled keeping the ball in play," said Ogemaw coach Diane Gillette. "We had too many unforced errors in each game in which we were unable to overcome and win. The competition was tough, but we just didn't play our game."
The Falcons earned splits with Unionville-Sebewaing and Dakota but lost to Oakland Christian and Freeland.
Leading the Falcons (31-12-8) were Amber Schmitt with six kills; Jamie Lucas with nine kills, four aces and 17 digs; Jordan Foster with six kills and 27 digs; Renee Wangler with eight kills and four aces; Holly Wangler with 25 assists; Kelly Rosebrugh with 18 digs and Alicia Brown with 16 digs.
The Falcons play a crucial conference make-up contest at John Glenn on Tuesday, Feb. 20.
