FAIRVIEW - Feb. 12, 2007 - Hale took to the road Monday and earned a three-game North Star League volleyball sweep of Fairview, 25-11, 25-18, 25-18.
"The girls served well overall, with Rachel Maher and Sabrina Provoast both serving 100 percent," said Hale coach Kristi Benedict. "Terra Kelso played a good game. She had a couple of nice blocks and was attacking well. They played well as a team and were hustling on defense, with some good saves."
The Eagles (8-10-1, 6-4 NSL) have a chance to play the spoiler's role on Thursday as they host Hillman, which is locked in a virtual tie for first place with AuGres-Sims.
"Hopefully we can build on (Monday's win)," Benedict said.
For the Eagles, Kelso had three kills, four digs and three blocks; Heather Albaugh had 24 digs; Maher had two aces and 12 assists; Elizabeth Lerczak had two aces and 20 digs; Tarra Caverly had four aces, six assists, three kills and 17 digs; Rachel Bunner had two kills and seven digs; and Provoast had nine kills and 26 digs.
