AuGRES-SIMS - Feb. 8, 2007 - AuGres-Sims got two volleyball victories for the price of one on Thursday, defeating Fairview in two matches, including one from an early snow day makeup.

The Wolverines swept the Eagles 25-12, 25-21, 25-20 in the first match, then took a four game, 25-16, 25-10, 15-25, 25-14 victory in the second match.

Jamie Taylor had 35 assists, six digs and three aces; Sam Baron had 15 kills, five digs and two aces; and Amanda Nixon had 10 kills and one block in the first match.

In the second match, Alicia Wright had four aces, four digs and two kills; Taylor had 27 assists, three aces, four kills and six digs; Baron had eight kills and three aces; and Nixon had eight kills and two blocks.

AGS (11-6, 7-2 North Star League) hosts Posen (also 7-2 NSL) on Monday with sole possession of the league's top spot on the line.
