POSEN - Dec. 14, 2006 - Posen unleashed a powerful attack at Arenac Eastern on Thursday, sending the Eagles to their second defeat of the young season.

The Vikings took the North Star League volleyball match 25-13, 25-12, 25-5.

"Posen's spikes were what hurt us," said AE coach Hannah Neil. "The girls were not prepared for their spikes to be that strong."

For AE, Aleece Blata had 1 tip and 1 save, Heather Bell had 1 ace and 3 tips, Heather Vollmer had 3 digs, Fiona Przewieslik had 1 dig, Carry Fink had 2 tips and 2 spikes and Lindsay Nelson had 2 blocks, 2 tips and 3 kills.

AE (0-2, 0-2 NSL) hosts Whittemore-Prescott on Monday and travels to Atlanta on Wednesday, Dec. 20.
