HILLMAN - Jan. 18, 2007 - Hillman's volleyball team proved to be more than Arenac Eastern could handle on Thursday as the Tigers took a 25-10, 25-10, 25-12 victory over the Eagles.

"Everything we tried on defense didn't work," said AE coach Hannah Neil. "Hillman's serves and spikes were hard to return.

"We have been playing with a lot of injuries this year, leaving us with just enough to play. The girls did not give up trying."

Leading the Eagles were Aleece Blata with 23 assists; Heather Bell with 2 aces and 14 digs; Briana Dery with 11 assists; Heather Vollmer with 3 digs and 26 assists; Carrie Fink with 2 aces, 3 blocks, 4 spikes and 15 assists; and Lindsay Nelson with 2 blocks, 10 assists and 2 saves.
