WHITTEMORE-PRESCOTT - May 9, 2007 - Pinconning swept Oscoda and Whittemore-Prescott in an NEMC girls three-way meet at W-P on Wednesday, winning with 83 points over Oscoda's 61 and W-P's 22.

Pinny (2-3-1 against other NEMC squads) carries 2.5 points into the May 23 league finals, with Oscoda (1-5) earning one point. W-P finished 0-6.

Winning events for the Spartans were Raquel Kerkau in the pole vault (6-6); the 4x800 relay (13:33.91); Nicole McKay in the 100 (14.47) and 200 (29.65); Jessica Vidalez in the 1600 (6:07.45) and 3200 (13:07.29); Hannah Schmidt in the 400 (1:10.19); Samantha Szeszulski in the 800 (3:02.09); and the 4x400 relay (4:52.89).

Oscoda's winners were Ashley Schonfeld in the high jump (4-8) and 300 hurdles (49.59); Sarah Inman in the 100 hurdles (22.00); the 4x200 relay (2:02.68); and the 4x100 relay (56.59).

For Whittemore-Prescott, Catherine Daniels won the discus (95-10) and shot put (38-3.5).
